Steel belt caster
These systems can be used to make solvent-based products, such as films
and foils with thicknesses varying between 40 and 120 µm.
The endless, highly polished special steel belt and Berndorf’s
tried-and-tested technology together create an unbeatable duo,
particularly for the optical foils used in the manufacture of LCD-TFT
monitors.
One of the most striking design characteristics of the Berndorf Band steel
belt caster is that it is vibration free – an absolutely essential feature
if one wishes to achieve a first class product. Of course the smooth
running of the steel belt is also a decisive factor.
We carry out theoretical simulations during development of a steel belt
caster, enabling us to optimize processes at a very early stage. This
dramatically reduces the start-up phase of a new steel belt caster, which
in turn means that a planned, perfect final product is available
significantly faster and at lower cost.
